This likeable and curiously otter couple come from the zoo Landau in Germany. They are between 3 and 4 years old. Currently they are in “play phase” where they act among each other and also with tree-trunks and in their lake , which Loro Parque specially built for them.
Otter have a reputation for being very social and active. Their smooth coats arouse the attention of both adults and children. They can reach a body length up to 65 cm and with their longish, slinky and flexible bodies they are perfectly suited for water games. These mammals lives at rivers and lakes in regions of South-East Asia . Otters feed on crawfish, frogs, crabs and small invertebrate animals and fishes, such as trout or perches.
