The salmon hue in the pink flamingos is due to their feeding on algae and crustaceans such as shrimps.

Along with parrots, cockatoos and Galapagos tortoises, flamingos are among the first to arrive at Loro Parque to be part of our big family. Here, in these exquisite gardens these curious birds known as inverted peaks, call the attention of all visitors for their brilliant plumage, intense pink legs and an unmistakable posture. Since arriving in Loro Parque flamingos extended the family every year, so no wonder that so many elegance and pen, appears an occasional chick that fullfils with sympathy the lake where they proudly wander.
