Flamingos Under Human Care

Since the early stages of its activity, Loro Parque has become a breeding and conservation space for flamingos.

Although not classified as an endangered species, CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) has indicated that flamingos require protection and regulation to prevent a decline in their populations.

Therefore, secure and protected environments like Loro Parque play a crucial role in the conservation and understanding of the species.
